Thea Khama came to Botswana as a high school graduate from Berkeley, California USA and at 50, is a self-created entrepreneur and Professional Consciousness Coach®️ married in the royal tradition of the Bangwato, a politician’s wife, mother, and pioneer in the field of transformation: mind, body and soul in Botswana. Thea is the Managing Director of InnerCore Energetics Corporation (Pty) Ltd that provides coaching services and retreats for personal, professional, or conscious team development.
Mrs. Khama is the mother of two young adults: Kaedi Sekgoma Khama (her firstborn son) and daughter Tahlia Naledi Khama. She is married to a leading political figure in Botswana.
Eager to make a difference in a myriad of ways, she began her charitable work with The Women’s Shelter Project and was the founder chair of Tsela Riders- Road Cycling Network/Club who are developing young cycling talent in the country. Thea co-owned and managed Body 'n Soul (Pty) Ltd trading as Energym Health Studio (1998-2016) where she devoted her energy in training athletes and the general public. She employed and equipped many Batswana with qualifications and skills in the field of health and wellness. Energym was the first health centre in Botswana to introduce the world famous Body-for-Life Transformation System, SPINNING®, Pump, Tae Kwon Do, Katabox, kid's gym equipment and crèche, and a fully equipped day spa.
Thea sat on the board of Children in the Wilderness for several years, and is the founder and Patron of The Pelotshweu Foundation—whose tagline is “Giving with a Pure Heart”. She was also the cherished Patron of The Heritage Book, Men & Boys for Gender Equality, Elephant Ignite - Women for Wildlife, and the Ambassador for the Global March for Elephant, Rhino, Lions and Pangolin.
An author and writer wrote Rough Diamond and co-authored the script for Pula! - a Botswana dance musical that performed off-Broadway in 2018 to rave reviews from the New York Times.
Thea channels her love of the indomitable human spirit into Teen Spirit – Uncover the Genius Within™, a non-profit program which she established in 2010 to empower and transform lives from the inside out. Teen Spirit is primarily a youth mentorship program using self discovery and trains young people and their mentors in psycho-social empowerment, transformation, support structures and implementation.
Khama is driven by an inner calling to nurture, and consciously uses her artistic awareness, writing skills, personal and inter-personal experiences, networks and professional qualifications to empower others with the same degree of compassion and passion-for-life that she awakes to on a daily basis.
